1.1 Acquiring Knowledge
Islam is a religion that highly values education and knowledge. It mandates that all Muslims actively pursue knowledge, as knowledge elevates an individual's status within the community. The Holy Qur'on emphasizes this point. "Are those who know equal with those who know not? It further states, "Allah will exalt those who believe among you, and those who have knowledge, to high ronks." The Holy Prophet (SAW) underscored the importance of education, declaring it compulsory for every Muslim mon and woman. He also highlighted the value of wisdom by saying, "The most intelligent person is the who could utilize others' knowledge and thus increase his own." According to Imam Ali (AS), "No treasure is more superior than knowledge," emphasizing the Intrinsic value of intellectual pursuit.
